On Saturday, June 8th, members of the MWG had the honor of appearing at an event for the winning bidder from last year's Second City Canine Rescue gala. In exchange for a $450 donation made directly to SCCR on the night of the gala, troopers 'arrested' the 50 year old birthday girl, who is a self-professed "Star Wars fanatic". The birthday girl, as well as her guests, were THRILLED to have us there and offered 'cash tips' to us. As we are not allowed to accept tips, we encouraged enthusiastic party goers to donate directly to SCCR if they wished to express their gratitude. Fortunately, the president of SCCR was there in person, and was able to accept an addition $50 in donations that night.
