Summary write up:

On June 11th and 12th, 2005, members of the Midwest Garrison participated in the Anchor Bay Relay For Life walk to fight cancer in New Baltimore, Michigan.

Despite the extreme heat, members had a fantastic time putting smiles on kids faces and participating in the event.

Members of the Midwest Garrison raised over $400 for the American Cancer Society.

Participants and guests were able to have photos taken with STAR WARS Friends from the 501st.

"Joan and I walked together in the survivor walk together and that was really touching to me because this is the first thing I have ever done in that regards. Joan, Kevin and Robbie, Thank you." -- Jay Shimko 501st Legion member #TS130 and a cancer survivor.

The desire of our members to connect their love of Star Wars with their ability to survive cancer is inspirational.
