The Master Chief (dial up beware, pic intensive)
Well ever since I first played Halo, I have wanted the armor. I was extremely lucky and came across this set and so my dream (or is a nightmare now) begins. I'll try and keep the progress photos coming, that will help keep me motivated to finish it before my 3 year old graduates from high school. The helmet was assembled, and painted purple for a previous owners wife. Well that just won't do for me, so a box of sandpaper later and we have this.

Sounds like my house
I’ve been thinking more and more of doing a MC costume but with a TK waiting to be assembled in a box that idea will have to wait
Nice find!

Let’s face it; being tracked down by the empire is far more fun for a 5yo than looking at props behind glass.

Looking great man! I always liked this costume.
But I dont think I have a large enough frame to pullit off right, so I havent bothered LOL Not to mention I have SEVERAL other costumes in the works that need to be finished before I can even START to think of starting another LOL
Keep up the good work, Cant wait to see it progress!

Great Stuff
I understand the foam but has anyone attempted using Great Stuff to the back and then just cut what you don't want to show with a hacksaw? I am thinking of doing this with a pair of Rebel Endor helmets. Just wondering if anyone has given it a try.

I did think of the great stuff foam but am worried about snow, ice and water being absorbed since it is the feet. I'm thinking of buying some cheap flip flops and cut them to the right size pieces for the gaps. Yea I got the ankles, but he sent me back the same old lens, so I'll figure out something else I guess. Whats a good place to pick up ABS?

ABS
There are a couple of plastics suppliers in the area. Total Plastic is off of Higgins Road in Elk Grove Village. There is also a supplier in Streamwood.

In search for ABS
Let me know what you will need and I can check my resources Monday or Wednesday. Do you need a particular color? Double smooth? Thickness? I generally deal with USPLastic.com but Total has been very good about helping.

From the very best scratch
Then I have plenty of 1/8" black ABS haircell on one side in seven inch widths from when I was scratch building the boxes. PM me an address and I'll send a care package.
