Resin casting & Silicone mold making

Post by SWFreak »

Hey Everyone, Thought I’d share this information with you since some of you were looking into it as well.

I’ve been doing some research on resin casting & silicone molds. The one source I found that was a great source on information was Dan Perez Studios.

That led me to looking in on silicone and resin manufactures. Dan Perez recommended Silicones Inc. for making molds. I’ve also heard good things about this product from other sources.

I found we have a local distributor Eager Plastics, Inc. It’s listed under their catalog page in the Flexible Moldmaking Silicones section as RTV1000. Also, they carry a pretty good resin product in the Semi-Rigid and Rigid Casting Urethanes called SC300.

That’s all I have for now. I have to check some old E-mail’s that I have from Peter Lukas at AIM. He gave me a list of products that he uses.

"Here's to the Army and Navy and the battles they have won. Here's to America's colors, the colors that never run.
