lol...
my TK...
last night was another epic adventure in TK...

After Oblagon bashed my FX Helmet for a good long time..(it really was funny)
then Laura from Chicago Force (Laura is awesome...and one of the only people I know who was actually at CI in Denver) kinda looked at me (she had never even seen me in TK) and said...

"Sorry Phyllis...but you really ARE too short to be a Stormtrooper"....
I just busted out laughing...

good times...
good times...

But I did have an idea for next year if we do the event again.

Set up a "donation station" at one of the locations we have served in the past month....
like the Lego Stores or Pottery Barn....
this time asking them to put up a poster a couple weeks in advance of our appearance...

Cheryl...could you imagine how much we could get for MSABC if all of the families that came to the Pottery Barn event donated as little as $5.00!

Or all of the droves that came to Legos in Woodfield or Orland......

Phyllis that's a GREAT idea. we're already established at those places i'm sure some of them would be very willing to allow us to do that for next year :)

I am truly glad it was a success for you all.

I am really sorry that I missed this event.

Despite all the e-mails I got, I had the wrong date written down.
I think the worst part of missing this was that Phyllis took the time to make the armband for me to wear. I apologize to you, Phyllis, and to the person I was to wear the armband for... :(

I am happy that you did have a great time for a great cause.

Oh man...I am sorry you missed it...
I was a little baffled when you signed up on the team the night before...and then was not there...

Not to worry Marlyn...there is always next year...
and...
we would love to see you for the "Star Wars In Concert" at the United Center in Dec....visit the Nar Shaddaa boards at RL for the sign up and additional information...
sign up to costume the event is here:

http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19982

Since we are currently "homeless" as a Base and have no other forums...we will be using the RL forums as our means of communication and sign up...

I still feel bad about it all.

I am trying to figure out what to do about the "Star Wars In Concert". My brother told me about it, and he bought my ticket for me so I can go with him and his family to the 1:00 pm show.

I read the boards here for the "Imperial volunteers". Thank you for the link for the "Rebels"; I will check it out. I also saw the event listing for the Bridgeview Toy Con...so many opportunities, so little time!!!
