Chancelor's 9th Birthday Party-6/19/2010

Post by TI4438 »

It was a hot day to be trooping on,but the MWG represented as usual.
To help celebrate Chanselor's 9th birthday,I offered our services when asked about having any good ideas for a kids birthday party.

We arrived on schedule at 5:30 and were armored up and ready to roll by 6pm.

We made our entrance to the back yard when we heard our music playing.Although we were expected, kids and adults alike seemed stunned by our appearance.

Chanselor was offered a choice of SW action figures, with two others going to the winners of several games of Hot Thermal Detonator.

The kids were then allowed to try on some TK helmets and check out our blasters and gaffi stick.

Lots of photos were taken and tats and candy were passed out to the kids.

After gearing down and cooling off,we were invited inside to pig out on some serious BBQ.We could easily have fed the entire Garrison! What a spread! I ain't kiddin'!!!!

At this time Yolanda,Chanselor's mom, presented us with a check for $150.00 payable to the American Cancer Society.

We made a nice score for charity and got some hot-links too?Now that's a troop!

Troops on hand for this event were:

TS1296 Joseph Flores
TI4026 Cherri Krzyzowski
DZ4438 Edward Krzyzowski

BTW,this was 4026's 25th event as a TIE Pilot, making her an official JRS Ace and from what Targ says, only the second Black Widow Ace.

Congrats wifey.

It was hot as hell, everybody would agree on that I think. We still had a good time however.

Chanselor is the kid in the orange t-shirt.He is a huge SW fan and was very appreciative. He personally thanked each one of us.He's gonna get a few extra goodies in the Imperial Post.

The donation was made in remembrance of Chanselor's grandfather who passed away two days prior to the party.

We also got much respect when people found out we do this stuff for charity.
