Avon School in Round Lake Mission Report 3/13/10

They are having a fund raiser/fun fair on Saturday March 13 from 11-3. The school is located near Rollins Rd & Rt. 83. My fiancee's son goes there and I have been asked to attend in costume to help generate some donations for them. The kids will mostly be in the 8 year-old range, but will be with their parents. It's basically a pose for pictures kind of thing.
If anyone else can attend, the more the merrier. It's a small event, but all proceeds go to the school. I'll be the coordinator for it if anyone else can make it. Email or PM me if you can attend. batbob@comcast.net.

I would love to help since I'm not too far away from Round Lake but I committed to the Naperville St. Patty's parade that morning.

More than likely I'm in but with it being a month away I can't confirm 100% yet. Seeing as I'm 2 min away (literally) I don't see it being an issue unless something comes up w/my daughter & I end up having her.

What costume would you prefer, Stormtrooper, Shocktrooper, Tusken???

SWEET!!! I'm literally minutes away, too. I'm on Heather Terrace (off Hainsville). I'll be in my TK, So I would say bring yours, too. It's cool looking when there's several of us together....
I've made arrangements for there to always be an adult with us (my fiancee) & there'll also be a small table setup for the temp tattoos, I'll be bringing a bunch of those. We'll also have a secure changing area.

Please put TK0084 & TK1656 down for having trooped this event.

It was a small school function/fund raiser. They had advertised an appearance by Stormtroopers from the 501st Legion. We were in costume for about 3 hours posing for pictures with kids and adults. The school charged $1 apiece for the photo opp. I brought plenty of Legion tattoos and everyone who got a picture with us got one applied. I also printed up a bunch of 4x6 pictures of myself in costume that each child got - we both autographed them for the kids. In total, we raised a whopping $67 at our booth in additional funds for the school.

Thanks for your fundraising efforts and a job well done!

I wish more folks could have gotten up there to help out but kudos to you two!

We have had many successful outings by only 2 people....
