Arriving at 4:30PM at The Office, several of us met up for an early dinner and beverages before the show. Once everyone had arrived, we headed back to our cars to gather our costumes and went over to the theater where we were escorted to the 3rd floor to change and rehearse. The stage manager, "Hawkeye" came up to show us the stage where, much to our dismay, we quickly realized just how small the stage space was and that there wasn't enough room for all of us! Arturo and Tom opted to bow out of the performance that evening. Thank you for being so understanding guys!
After initial rehearsals out of costume, we had some pizza then went down to see the show. We also found that they had sold out completely, and that it was standing room only for us up on the balcony! We watched the show for a while before heading back upstairs for dress rehearsal.
(above: ". . . the Battle Droids were broken. . . .")
We then took the very small elevator down to the lobby and walked outside (thankfully it stopped raining earlier that afternoon and was pretty nice out!) to the back stage door where we waited . . . and waited . . . and waited some more until it was our cue to go in. Did I mention that the stage was small? Small to the point where Al was using the side wing to get changed in instead of his usual changing area that they set upstage. The band members even had to change downstairs in their dressing room and quickly get back up, so we had to stand off to the side (we were right next to Al!). On our cue by Ruben, we marched out on stage and took our pose. Al came out in Jedi robes and sang "We All Have Cell Phones" before going right into "The Saga Begins" where we did our thing, and did it extremely well!
Afterwards, most of us (except for myself who went upstairs to change) hung out in the lobby and waited for the concert goers to head home, taking pictures with them as they left.
Al, as gracious as ever, took the time to see us and sign a few autographs for us–including Remo's accordion! Thank you to everyone who came out for this troop!

Great event and the ever charitable Al. He look so exhaustated and always puts on a awesome show. Arturo and Tom were very generous and did a really nice thing backing out. i still think Jango should've appeared on wires flying from the stage!
Many bothans died to bring you this post...the tearing of ligaments and almost the loss of a TK's finger...

It was a lot of fun, even though I couldn't see anything with my fans broke. We need video.

I really wanted to be on stage with Al again.. But since the stage was so small, and Big Sexy had never gotten to do the show, I thought it was more important to let a fellow trooper who hasnt been on stage to get a chance.
And I even let him use MY TK armor.
A great time was had by all.
As soon as I can get someone to help me get my darn laptop working correctly I will get pics up.
Oh and on a side note. While we were at the al show.. I got the conformation email for the $1000 donation to Make A Wish for our appearance at the Candy Show.

As always...looks like great fun..
and agreed Tom..
I think it is VERY important to let those who have not had the chance to do one of these shows get the opportunity to do so...
Very generous...and...well..
very sporting!
