IL-Champaign-Bowl For Kids Sake-3/06/11
Troops,
The Bowl For Kids Sake was another great troop for the Midwest Garrison. We were able to suit up nearby the bowling alley and after a small hitch in plans, it started later than we thought, we walked over to the event. When we first walked in they were doing "Cosmic Bowling" (in the dark with black lights and fog). We walked in to the Imperial March and made our way to the end of the lanes. We posed for pictures with some of the different bowling teams who were there for the event. Once we finished with team photos, we mingled with the bowlers and posed for more pictures. By then they had the regular lights on and we decided to bowl. I've never bowled in costume, so this was a new experience for me. Thanks to Sarah for helping me with my shoes. When I bowled, I couldn't get bent down to put the ball on the alley, so I was lofting every shot. More than once, I stepped on my cape, but I didn't fall down or cross the foul line. Right Jeremy?
We all had a really good time and we got invited back for another charity bowling event in a couple of months. We met a local photographer, Virginia Pinkston (http://www.virginiapinkston.com), who also does charity work. You can see pics of the event here:

Wow...great group photo!
Now that Crix has tabulated the TOD...
it is now my turn to pester you about charity totals...
and..
a little something "new"...they are tracking hours in addition to dollars...
So...anything to report to your Charity Rep?
