Dear Cynthia:
Together We Cope is very grateful to your organization and the 501st Legion of the Star Wars costuming group for the food drive you conducted for our agency in November. The six large boxes of food you brought to our office in Tinley Park went a long way toward helping the thousands of Chicago south suburban residents who rely on us for groceries.
While the recession of 2008 is far behind us now, we find that unemployment and under-employment continue to be a problem for many people in our area. Our food pantry currently serves, on average, 65 families per day and that number has grown significantly in the past two years. We are asked to help single persons, families with children, senior citizens struggling to survive on little more than Social Security benefits.
It is because of the generosity of individuals and organizations like yours that we are able to continue in our mission to assist families in temporary crisis to bridge that gap created in their finances by such crises. Thank you for being our partners in this work.
Sincerely,
Marge Seltzner

Re: Haunt for hunger
Since it was called "Haunt for Hunger"...
I am guessing this was for a food bank or something?
Was there canned food collected or money?
Any idea of how much money or food?
How many hours overall were spent on this event?

Re: IL burbank----Haunt for hunger 10/19-20/ 2012
I'm confused. I thought that the "Haunt for Hunger" event was 11/17 in Tinley Park. And that the FRIGHTMARE Haunted House was 10/19-20/2012 in Burbank. Were these events the same? Was there a "Haunt for Hunger" event that was separate?

The one in Oct was a two day event at Haunted Trails, the one in Tinley Park was added because that was when they dropped the food off. No one attended the drop off event.
I am still waiting for details on how much food or money was donated. It seems haunted trails has not recvd word on totals just yet. When that information gets to me I will post it asap.

Ah!!! Got it. I kept looking for photos from the Food Drop event but wasn't finding anything. Now I know why.
Thanks so much for the clarification, Joe. I thought I was losing my mind. Well, more than usual.

ToD is updated. However....I only put everyone in on the 10/19 date (except jporlando, you are counted on both dates). If you were there on 10/20 please let me know and I will update it. Also, I only added a costume if you only have one. For those of you with multiple costumes let me know what was worn and I will update that as well. Thanks!
