On Saturday July 26th We took part in the 8th annual Kids' Day benefiting Crittenton Centers of Peoria. This was the first year in the East Peoria Levee district and was a good change from the old Venue. Kids’ Day is family friendly event with inflatable bouncers, face painting, balloon fun, Sno-Cones, informational booths, ongoing entertainment and so much more. A great day for the whole family! We did our Blast-a-Trooper with marshmallow shooters for this one at the request of the Crittenton Centers, FYI I do not recommend this as an alternative to the Nerf guns we normally use. The temps were up and event though we were setup inside, the marshmallows started to get real sticky and not fire in the shooters. You can only imagine the mess they made on the floor  We setup just out side the area the East Peoria Fire and police Dept was staged for the children's identification program. This included finger prints, photos, video, and a DNA sample. This was a perfect position to entertain the parents and children waiting in line. Another great event and better yet, $29,000 was raised for Crittenton Centers of Peoria!

lol...yeah...marshmallows don't hold up well in heat at all...
I know one year when we passed them out at the Barlett Parade the marshmallows were literally melting into a lump in the bags...

Added to the charity totals...

they were making a sticky mess and jamming up inside the barrel. They had to shut it down early, lots of sad faces.
Sorry Lord Vader but the ability to destroy a planet IS significant.
