The Midwest Garrison was once again invited to the Film Festival Red Carpet event that is part of Decatur Celebration. We posed for lots of pictures with fans of all ages and stood near next to the Red Carpet as the film contestants were being introduced. As always, this event was a lot of fun and they are already excited about having back next year.

They will be making a donation to charity in our name. Hopefully I will know this week to whom it went to and how much.

Good news! I received an email today from our contact Karalee stating that they will be giving a donation in our name! Here is a portion of her email:

"Land of Lincoln Credit Union will be giving the American Cancer Society Macon County Relay for Life a $100 donation on behalf of the 501st Legion in recognition of their participation in our 21 Film Project (see attached photo). They are a great group to work with and do all of their appearances on a volunteer basis. They’re always a hit at our event! American Cancer Society is one of the charities they like to support, so this is our way of giving back in their name."
