Relay For Life of Bloomington/Normal High Schools
Friday, May 9 – Saturday, May 10
6pm-6am
Normal Community High School


The Imperial Walkers were asked to make an appearance at a local Relay For Life on Friday, May 9th. This was the third year for the high school event and included many activities: Survivor Ceremony, luminaria ceremony, music and contests throughout the night.

There were:

• 15 teams
• 100 students
• $6,000 raised
• 3 survivors
• 50 luminaria purchased

It all came together within the last 2 months. They will be set up to have a lot more students next year. It was amazing to see how involved they were and how they pretty much ran the whole event.

Funds will go towards American Cancer Society’s mission to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays through:
• Research
• Education
• Advocacy
• Patient Services

Troopers (we were asked to be at the site for approximately 2 1/2 hours):

Are the funds raised at this event going to be applied to the overall totals for the Relay when it comes up this summer or is this separate?
