Summary of event:
The 501st Midwest Garrison descended upon Impact Field to help celebrate their Star Wars night. It was in conjunction with a donation to MAW and to honor children who had been going through chemo and have survived the treatments, but also those who were being remembered. Many of us were greeted with Hugs, High-Fives, and a total appreciation of beign there. We were stopped by EVERYONE even the owner of the Chicago Dogs took time to take his photo with us.
It was a huge honor to have so many great troopers at this event and a new trooper, Heather, who is pending RL approval for her Rey.
Additionally, having two of our founders there too was pretty epic as well as having the RL LMO there too. They made sure we represented the Garrison with Flying colors!
Last and DEFINITELY not least, I want to give a HUGE thank you to Barry W. Benecke. The game was unfortunately rained out after only 2 innings, and while we were all invited back, it was difficult as we all had plans for the holiday weekend. Barry, went back the next day and suited back up in his TK again, and stayed for the double-header. I gotta say, Barry, i'm so glad you're a part of the MWG family, I don't know how I can repay you bro. You are a, without a doubt, plain awesome-sauce!
