Re: Armor question

Far away creations is MonCal's website. Nice stuff but he has crazy long wait times, sometimes going over a year.

Re: Novus polish

You can get it from Amazon pretty cheap. Most people have switched to Mcguire's mirror glaze which can be found at most auto parts stores.

Helmets made by this seller are terrible. For the price you could get a MLC which are the best of the best.

Good luck.

Ask that in the 501st only area and I'll answer as such negativity shouldn't be posted in public.

I'm 6'2" 210lbs and I wear TE style armor. It fits better than my FX because the thighs, shins, and biceps are longer, and the forearms, butt, and ab plate are bigger. Also the helmet is bigger than the AP that I used to have. TE on the left, FX armor AP helmet on the right. http://i168.photobucket....

Just a heads up, it took them 4 months to redo my robe. I finally got it last week.

They also make corrected lenses for dive masks. They are a little pricey but should work great for a helmet. Plus they are big enough to cover the whole lens in the helmet.

Laird doesn't carry double smooth ABS, only haircell. Here is a good company that has reasonable shipping. You'll want 80 gauge.

Just be cautious of the complete soft part sets on ebay. They are tissue paper thin, and will need major work and some parts replaced to be acceptable.

RT also comes pre-trimmed. Although trimming is pretty easy so don't let that deter you from getting an AP kit.

You don't have to use all the lines in the decal either. Screen used helmet had anywhere from 9 to 15 stripes per side.
