For sale is a used MR E11 blaster. There is no case or COA. I got this used a while ago, it had some very minor paint chipping around the front sight which I touched up with paint. The orange barrel plug has also been painted black. Overall, its in great condition. $250.00 + shipping...unless buyer ...

already tired of the sand
So, does that mean you won't be attempting to build a Sandtrooper? Goin' clean maybe? Whatever costume you decide on, there's lots of help to be had around here.

Anyway...welcome.

There are plenty of screen caps and reference photos out there. If you want, tape the stripes where you want them, take a picture, post it here, and someone will be able to tell you if they're in the right place.

There is a black rubber ring that goes around the opening of the helmet.

If the ring has been cast into the resin helmet already, it could be painted. Otherwise, automotive door trim could be used.

Well, the tube stripes are riding a little low. They should be set closer to the main faceplate.

You'll need black outlines around the painted teardrops, traps, and earpieces. If you have a steady hand then you could paint them in. I don't, so I used black pinstriping. This stuff... http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j212/Outlander257/Random%20Pix/stripingtape.jpg for this look... http://i81.pho...

To be screen accurate, you'll need blue.

Check the Legion boards for anyone selling blue tube stripe decals. They're much easier to apply than painting them on.

Somewhere out there is a tutorial for modding the voice changer helmet thats available in stores. It looks to require a lot of putty/Bondo, sanding, and re-painting, but it may be easily and cheaply attainable.

This is approximately a 3 inch long crack.

I have repaired smaller cracks in the backpiece in this manner, but the surface thats cracked now isn't completely flat. I think I also need to really beef up the areas that get the most stress...around the arm and shoulder areas.[/quote]

Yes filling the chin seam is required for 501st acceptance.

Makes sense...that was the most annoying thing about that helmet.
