Re: Help with Ezio

Thanks for the tips, guys. I checked out both, the sword site had only Altaire gear (but it was some very good Altaire stuff), and the EBay costumes looked great from a distance, but once I zoomed in the detailing and materials weren't quite up to spec - this is a really good bribe for my brother so...

Help with Ezio

I'm turning this thread into a build progress once I get enough of a start on the costume. Yo. I'mma working on a deal with my brother - if I make him a high-class Ezio (ACII and Brotherhood) costume, he will dress as kid Boba Fett from the Clone Wars animated series when I drag him to conventions (...

Casting Tips?

So yeah, finally doing something big on my Ahsoka for official - I'm doing a lifecast of my head in order to sculpt a custom-fitted headpiece. I've done some smaller lifecasting (hand) as practice but those kits were just tear-away alginate. Assuming the lifecasting goes well, I'll have a 2-piece mo...

SUCCESS!!! I found a person who makes the saber and another person who doee the elctronics. WOOO I'm excited. If there are other Ahsoka's out there i'll pm you the information. -River Please do - I've been looking for ages for an accurate saber, but I just don't have the contacts to be successful.

as for the makeup... I primarily use alcohol based, and yes, it is a bit of a chore to get off, but I have never had a problem with staining or anything like that.) Hum. Might be that creme/grease make-ups stain. Like I said, I have bad reactions to alcohol-based. I've just had co-workers who had p...

Grease paint can be a real pain to work with. Also it's a good idea to ignore all those pallets and kits that come out around Halloween - they're awful. Ben Nye is decent and affordable but lacks staying power (but it still has the cheap thing going for it). Alcohol-based paints stay on no-matter wh...

Not long, but I can't say why he responded so quickly. I'll post pics once Ali and I get it. It won't be for some time though so for now, i'll be looking for an Ahsoka Hilt. I had one guy said he could do it out of resin, but I see bad things happening there. -River Good luck finding the hilt. If a...

I've had the saber hilt issue too - and some custom makers won't do it because it's an official design and it would be like, stealing intellectual property. As an aside, how long have you been talking with Bob about the headpiece? I've written him once or twice about it and he said he'd let me know ...

I was going to say something pseudo-witty, but then everyone elses' comments derailed my train of thought. Awesome that you're going official though. When are you going to go official? If that was for me; it's whenever I can either suck it up and try sculpting/casting my own headpiece or find someo...

I have a multi-use rotary tool as well (it's like a dremel, but unofficial and cheaper). It'd be fun to have a Mando party.

I don't think I've seen someone make headpieces that small for production. If she were 10-teens and you were willing to drop about $300 I could reccommend a guy, but other than that, I'd say your best bet would be to measure her and carve out a headpiece yourself out of like insulation foam and usin...

Gauntlets suck - they're my least favorite part of the armor. Geez~ I missed all the drama because of extra work (which was so I could go to New York and be all AWOL and miss bugging you guys this weekend). Geez River, your enthusiasm makes me feel like I should be saluting or something. Garrison patriotism!

Which Palpatine are you shooting for, Emperor or one of his Chancellor togs? It must be a Naboo tradition to have several dramatic outfits on hand.

What did you do for your curved breastplates, out of curiosity? The plate thickness looks great - I always think that mine are too thin.

Dead sexy girl. Are you going to Wizard World? We could have a femme-mando invasion, all three of us.

(Love the designs - original but recognizable - awesome)
